The palate also shows a citrus peel and melon fruitiness with a rich tropical nose. The wine finishes with a crisp lemon peel freshness and invigorating acidity.

This wine exhibits a very pale straw colour with a fresh mineral green tint. The nose shows notes of cut grass and pine needle with a subtle tropical and citrus blossom character. Flavours include lychee, cut grass and asparagus, supported by a citrus lift, guava and rock melon. The elegant fruit characters are skilfully overlaid on a structure showing flinty acidity and overall freshness and vibrancy.

The dense purple colour gives testament to ripe and concentrated fruit. The nose offers a burst of cassis and redcurrant fruits complexed with very subtle cedary and spicy oak. The palate shows intense ripe fruit, mouth filling tannins and a long persistent finish. The judicious oak handling of the wine has imparted complex coffee/ mocha flavours and subtle vanilla and spice.

The nose shows sour cherry and blackberry aromas with a subtle hint of cedary oak. The wine shows flavours consistent with the nose but also showing cherry and spice flavours derived from the Merlot component of the wine. The wine is round, full and soft – as is expected of a blend of these two classic grape varieties.

The nose offers a complex bouquet of primary fruit including mulberries and plums, as well as notes of clove and liquorice. The palate is ripe, rounded and soft, with velvety tannins and sweet mulberry juiciness. The persistent aftertaste is of black currant jam and toast. This is a rich full weighted wine with a well-rounded tannic structure that is smooth and generous in fruit flavour.
